I came into this movie expecting the worst, but what I got was a solid superhero movie that just wasn't ambitious enough. Looking at the previews, I though the casting was horrible. However, their choice of the guy from Nip/Tuck as Doctor Doom worked better than I expected and Johnny Storm was cast very well. The major problem with the movie is that it just wasn't tryin to do very much. It is an origin movie and that's it. I will say I am looking forward to the sequel. If you are a fan of comic books and you don't mind a very simple plot, I recommend this movie. It is an enjoyable experience.: C+

I agree with the review. The only thing I really like about this film was Chris Evan who portrayed Johnny Storm. It was the only role that was casted well. There just was not enough dimension for me. The plot was very generic and it served up nothing action-wise that would make me want to run out and tell my friends about it. I give it a D.
